April

This has been a fun month for us. As usual our family went non stop.

Conference weekend saw another mission reunion for Davina. She planned and organized it with another mission companion. It was a lot of work for her, but from watching her that night it looked like it was more than worth it as over 60 people were there.

Davina celebrated her 40th birthday this month. (good grief you are old!!!!)

We had a nice visit from Grandpa Darrel this month. He stayed for a little over a week and great fun was had. Visits to the planetarium, the aquarium, movies and the Lao/Thai New Year celebration were the highlights. Hurry back!!!!!

David just won't stop. This month he had a Violin recital (which he did very well) acompanied on the piano by Mamae. He started up on his soccer team (they have won their first 2 games so far) . He continues to love karate. He advanced to his 3rd belt (orange belt) and participated in his first Karate Tournament!!!!! He took part in forms and self defense techniques for his age and rank. (again he did quite well and surprised Mamae and Papai with a different form and selfdefense technique we didn't practice at home.)

In Cub Scouts he received his astronomy belt loop to go along with his marbles belt loop he got last month. He is still rehearsing with the Lehi children's orchestra (not as sophisticated as it sounds but it is a lot of fun for him) They have a concert coming up next month. David's cousins Rachel and Cameron also participate.

In spite of all this David continues to do well in school, practice his violin and find time to play with his dogs Nina and Sofia.

I will try and add some pictures later when I get home.

Welcome

I have been inspired by my sister Liz to start this. Let's see if I can remain dedicated.
